Hola Mundo

Hola Mundo

Hello World 👋

Welcome to my little corner of the internet. If you're reading this, it means I finally took the leap and started documenting my journey as a software developer.

Who am I?

I'm Erik Estrada, a Java & Full Stack Developer currently living in Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵. With over 4 years of experience under my belt, I'm super passionate about designing solid, high-performance APIs and playing around with microservices.

I just love building things that work well and actually bring value to people.

What am I working with?

Right now, my day-to-day stack looks something like this:

  • Backend: Java (Spring Boot is my jam), Kafka, and keeping things secure with OAuth 2.0 & JWT.
  • 🎨 Frontend: Angular and React.js.
  • 🐳 DevOps & Cloud: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP. I love containerizing stuff.

Even though I've been doing this for a while, in this industry the learning never stops. I'm always looking to mess around with new patterns and architectures.

Why this blog?

I've always believed that "the best way to learn is to teach." This space is basically going to be my personal logbook. Here's what I'll be sharing:

  • 🚀 My learnings: Everything from Spring Boot tricks to frontend optimizations.
  • 🐛 Bugs and how I fixed them: Because we all break production sometimes, and the solution is usually buried in some random internet thread.
  • 🛠️ Projects and experiments: The cool stuff I build in my free time.

Let's Connect!

If you made it this far, I'd love to know who's on the other side. You can find me on LinkedIn, check out my code on GitHub, or just drop a message if you're into Java, cloud architecture, or life in Tokyo!

Thanks for stopping by, and see you in the next post! 🚀
